Just a little plug for the #LightTheWorld campaign…… I love this time of year and each year I will tell myself that I’m NOT going to get caught up in all the commercialism of Christmas, and then later, looking back, I don’t feel like my Christmas was any different from the year past.  I seem to always feel rushed and so much pressure to keep up with all that’s going on around me.

So this year, I am excited to have a calendar to look at each day and a scripture to read and ponder with a specific goal to meet.  There are videos to go with each of the 25 days leading up to Christmas.  Each day has something to do with what the Savior did for others’ and what we, in turn, can do for someone else.  Imagine the impact we can all have if we each do something kind for someone else each day during December!  Imagine how we will feel during this special time of year.  Will we finally be able to “feel” Christmas more deeply?  Will we come away with a deeper love for our Savior?  Will Christmas this year be different in a very special and wonderful way?  Will we become even a tiny bit better than we were before?  Will we also leave others’ feeling a little bit better?

The main video is so inspiring when people are choosing between “getting” and “giving”… it is amazing how many give!!!  It makes you really think of yourself and what you would do…..I love this!  I love this reminder each day to remember the true meaning of Christmas and why we really celebrate the season!  Make this year different by following along with the #LightTheWorld.….. project and share your own light in the process!  We all have something to offer…..
